Student Government Day Recap

The annual Bismarck-Mandan Elks Student Government Day was held on Friday, April 30, 2010. Over twenty-five government agencies in Bismarck and Mandan hosted students from the seven area high schools.

Thirty-nine students had the opportunity to shadow a government official for the morning, and a luncheon for the students and officials was held at the Elks. Area scholarship recipients were also in attendance at the luncheon to receive their scholarship awards. The keynote speaker this year was Tax Commission Cory Fong.

Thank you to all of the officials who made this event a memorable experience for our area students. Thank you, also, to the drivers and other volunteers who helped coordinate another successful Student Government Day.
